Hey John, it was nice meeting you. I'm glad you convinced me to come out. I ran my best run of the day after you left, a 12.78 @ 111.4. It was an awesome day. 2 5th gens in the 12's.

Yes, it was good meeting you also. Great job on the '70. I think with some drag radials and a better 60', 50s will be a piece of cake.....

The track prep was awesome weather was about 50 and sunny. You really need to drive these cars out of the hole with a lot of clutch. Someone else figured the DA to be +274, I have no idea if that's right. I could just imagine what I could run with a 1.80 60'

DA was a +274. I did check it. Just about perfect weather conditions. The track prep was pretty good. I asked them if they were spraying the starting line area and they said just a little because so few cars were turning out and VHT is expensive. Yeah, VHT is expensive, and so is the $35 gate price....

The best 60' I managed was a 1.96. That was holding the RPMs just above idle and rolling into the throttle. That provided my 12.98 run. I think if I would of put on my drag radials I could of just mashed the gas and seen a 1.80 something 60' and possible a 12.80 ET. But, honestly, why complain about a 100% stock SS running 12's???
