A little late now, but might want to look into ventless gas heaters, I bought a 30k BTU Pro-Com only $160 at Menards season-end sale, does propane AND natural gas (two spigots) built in fan and wall mountable + legs for standing on the ground. Pretty nice, burns 99.9% efficient, thermostat too.

ProCom Heating is the Leader In gas heating products. We offer a full line of fireplaces, gas log sets, wall heaters, garage heaters, outdoor heaters, tank top heaters, convection heaters, Kerosene forced air heaters and accessories.

Now that sounds nice. But I'd have to get my garage insulated first! So many things to do to the house, so little money (after the Camaro!)

Haha, the root cause of my garage door opener's failure was bad tracks and rollers sticking + other problems with the door itself. I put off the door replacement and now the spring broke, so I sprung for an insulated door -- now I gotta insulate the rest too...

Thanks for the offer, but I'm looking to get A/S tires. I'm not going to switch wheels/tires or tires between seasons.

Picked one of these up for less than that tonight. Now, does anyone know a decent plumber down here that can hook up a gas line in my garage? I have a gas line within about 5-7 ft. of where I want to put this in my garage.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

Cool, did you get the 30k BTU Pro-Com? It's supposedly good for 1000 sq. Ft. You can hook-up a propane tank in the meantime... Gas line work is not too hard, just have to use the yellow gas pipe thread tape and leak test (black gas pipe, of course)... 5-7 ft. isn't bad at all.

Yea, the one with the fan and does both LP and propane, etc. Got the floor model so I got it even cheaper. Garage is over 750 sqft. with 11 ft+ ceilings and I am tired of freezing my ass off trying to fix something in the winter trying to use my old heater, NO MORE!!

                  Wooo Hooo !!!

Not too hard to pipe it but I am still not going to risk it when it comes to gas. I will have a pro do it or a friend who knows how do it.

Is there an end or joint in the gas pipe that is nearby, or going to have to replace a large run of pipe to get it added in? It's pretty easy to do, indeed, so long as the proper supplies are used and precautions taken.

Actually, there is a joint 5-7 ft. away at the dryer. It elbows right there in the basement then comes up through the floor to the dryer. I figure someone could put a "T" there to extend it about 5-7 ft then bring it up into the garage. I love living in a ranch.

Exactly, it's a snap provided you use black pipe ( the natural gas will rot the silver galvanized pipe from the inside out, BAD! ) and yellow teflon tape rated for use with natural gas.

And as always, make you you place a natural gas rated shut off valve before the unit.

Nice, you're gonna love it. Ya pay through the nose to get a vented heater anywhere near 90+% efficiency, but these ventless ones are a STEAL with 99.99% efficiency!
