I have been driving mine all winter. its rare to have the roads full of snow, since they are cleaned up within hours. The few times werent so bad, though I am glad I had enough winter driving experience and common sense to drive safely.

I do slip...
I don't hot dog the car. I idle in to gear if I see the need for it. I take turns w/o applying gas through the turn. I align my tires with other tread marks in the snow. Give plenty of distance between cars and allow ample braking time. I can tell you that the stability controls on this car are actually quite nice. I can feel the car assisting me and doing its job keeping me straight and forward. I also will refrain from driving on days that it's just really bad out -- but, that's not limited to snow/ice. I do the same for torrential rain and high winds, hail, etc.
I've actually gotten quite decent at controlling the car -- though, I will admit, living in down town Chicago I have the luxury of great snow removal and control. Plus, our temps are usually a tab higher than the burbs.
There's only 1 time the car got stuck and it was during that massive snow storm. It was in the alley behind our apartment and it took multiple layers of ice and snow, an upward grade on the alley and smooth concrete to do it. Not too bad honestly. It was easily rocked out and driven back to the garage.Last edited by Guest; 03-02-2011, 03:48 PM.

I was waiting for a comment like that.. I guess we'll see how I do with traction just during the summer.. I'm planning on replacing my tires this year though, after having spent almost a full year on them -- I don't like them.
