Well pretty much anywhere between Crystal Lake and West Palatine would be a reasonable driving distance from either work or home

In Cary, just west of Three Oaks Road, there is a touchless place that also does hand washes.

Just saw this on Groupon$18 for Three Super Kiss Car Washes at Delta Sonic Car Wash ($35.97 Value)

I have never used this place before. What what I find interesting is their ad that states " Aside from purging cars of road grime and dust, Delta Sonic Car Wash offers a free wash within five days of the original, should your car "accidentally" find itself re-covered in "circumstantial evidence."

You could find yourself there every 4 days getting a car wash. (Humm wonder if they would like to be a sponsor?)

I go there all the time with my Tahoe. In fact, they have a deal for unlimited washes for $12.99/month. They do a good job and usually towel dry at the end.

Those of you with different size rims, tires front back like the ss package and not sure about rs package but you can't go to a lot of car washes if they hav tracks cause your going to ruin your rims, they will scratch the rims, the wheel base width is different

RS wheels are the same as the SS, staggered, though that seems strange that the tracks would hurt the wheels because of it. I do go to Delta Sonic (rt 52 in joliet)with my other cars and they do a wonderful job. I did have one track problem in one of my other cars though(the camaro only gets washed in the driveway). An idiot in front of me hit their brakes on the track. It subsequently jumped the track and quickly found my front bumper.

..towel dry after? Dangerous! (if your paint is in good shape, anyway) - likely using terrycloth towels, which are BAD NEWS-leaves fine scratches, and also, typically they get re-used from the car in front of you, picking up dirt, etc.... which gets rubbed on your paint... now, if they use a new/clean waffle weave microfiber for each vehicle then that's better.

the included chamois 'buffing cloth' treatment may be OK, but likely same results as the drying towel after.

That being said, if it's your daily driver, or the paint is already not pristine, then by all means, have at it!

I just washed my car this evening. All this snow has been annoying! Hopefully the roads don't get too bad tomorrow so I don't have to wash it again! I used the self-wash stall and brought my own microfiber towels. I got most of the water off before it started freezing!

I just bought a leaf blower to dry my car with. It's electric and I do have a portable battery with AC outlets for road trips.

The tracks are usually a Plastic guided piece so the rims are protected. Someone guides you in so you won't mess them up.

                            Just saying.....

The shop I have near me was looking at sponsoring us too if we can get shops close to all it would work out better
