  • Labor Day-MDA Telethon (Jerry Lewis)...I challenge

I know not alot of you know me and I havent been here for that long, but I had posted my car show back in June and alot of people said they wish they could be there and help such a great cause and alot of you came and helped as well!!! Many of you saw me in a state I am use to being in...tired and weak. But this was the first year I was in a wheel chair for my show.

I have Muscular Dystrophy....since I was born. It affects every day living for millions of people. Over 40 different kinds...it doesnt care who it strikes or when. It can kill, it does kill. Every year I host a car show to say THANK YOU for all MDA has provided me....the ability to walk, the strength and confidence to never give up in what I dream to do, friends, mentors, doctors, and a fighting chance to see a birthday each year.

Without surgeries I had a young age, without leg braces, without medical care when I would become ridiculously sick due to a weakened immune system...I would either be in a wheel chair or dead. My family couldnt afford the surgeries, MDA paid for them. MDA has provided a lot for my family and I.

This year I will be donating a large check from the car show to say THANK YOU. To send another kid to camp, to buy another kid a clinic visit to get help they need.

Even if you are half way across the world, I encourage and challenge Chicago 5th gen members to call in to my local telethon station and pledge $5.00 (or whatever you can, even a $1) in honor of anyone you want. But mention you are calling due to an internet challenge from Carri Wilborn.

The number locally for here is 217-355-1451
If you wish to call nationally the number is 1 800 FIGHTMD

For those of you who wished to help out and couldnt...now is your chance! Support all those kids whom will never get to race or even drive a car. Support those (like me) who will continue to race until the day this disease wont let me...(which wont be long if my legs keeping getting worse).

And to everyone here...THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!
