It is now a Private website and privately owned. It is now Chicago5thGen. Camaro Club, Inc., an Illinois Corporation and doing business as ChicagoNextGen Camaro Club and Chicagoland Camaro Club, organized and registered in the State of Illinois and protected by the laws of the State of Illinois. The name C5G (Chicago 5th Gen. Camaro Club) and CNG (Chicago Next Gen. Camaro Club) are service-marked and protected as such as well as Chicagoland Camaro Club and other related D/B/A's . Any improper infringement on their use will be strictly and swiftly enforced to the fullest extent of the law.
However, this web site is not affiliated with General Motors or Chevrolet but we do love their cars!.
Chicago5thGen. Camaro Club Inc., was formed by a Founding Member in an attempt to keep alive the traditions of the C5G/CNG family. It is an expensive and time consuming undertaking so please be patient, courteous and understanding to the changes that will be necessary for the possibility of the Corporation to provide you with a club and website that will be successful.
As such, if you desire to participate in the website and/or the club you will have to follow some new as well as some old rules. No exceptions !

Article I
Purpose of the Club/Mission Statement
1. To create an interest in the 5th and 6th Generation Camaro automobile as well as older models.
2. To aid newcomers to the Camaro with their inquiries.
3. To promote club events.
4. To facilitate a meeting place to foster friendships and networking amongst its participants.
5. To exchange knowledge and ideas
6. To have social activities and participate in local Chicagoland area car events.
7. To network skills, talents and careers of members who share a 5th and 6th Gen interest as well as older models.
ARTICLE II
Club Forum Guidelines/Use of the Website:
Any person may visit, C5G/CNG, Chicago 5th Gen Camaro Club - Powered by v Bulletin and register to use the website as an associate of Chicago5thgen.com. Members will be classified as either Associate or Full Member.
To Register as an Associate Member, click on the small Register Tab at the top left of the Website and follow directions. You will get a EMail Confirmation. However, sometimes Google Email will put this in your spam folder, make sure you take us out of your spam folder and add our site to the contact list so all updates and notifications go into your in box and not your spam folder.
To Register as a Full Member , first Register as an Associate Member, then click on the large button on top of the Website,"Become a Member" and follow the directions. A full member will need to demonstrate that he or she owns or possesses a 5th or 6th Generation Camaro or a older model camaro and is current on paying his/her annual Membership dues. A dues paying member will have access to some areas of the website that Associates will not have access. In addition, ONLY dues paying members will have the ability to post offers in the classified section for sale of used or new relevant items to other members as well as other benefits. Only Dues paying members can solicit for items to purchase. You want to buy and sell something, PLEASE DO SO AFTER YOU PAY YOUR DUES !
1. If you start or have a competing website, social page or facebook page, you will not be allowed to post on this website without first having your post approved and obtaining written permission from the Corporation. If you violate this rule, your posts will be deleted you may be blocked from posting again.
2. If you are an advertiser, have something to sell and are in the business of selling merchandise, or if you are promoting shows, events, races, outings, or other clubs, you will have to pay for the right to do so unless you obtain written permission from the Corporation. Your posts will be deleted and you may be blocked from posting again. Our advertisers Pay for the privilege to do so and we will protect their interests without question. On the other hand, we may and do often support those clubs that mutually support our interests.
3. If you are critical to a member, advertiser, Chevrolet, General Motors or any particular Dealership, or the C5G/CNG organization, your post may be removed and you may be blocked from posting again. If you have something negative to say, indicate it in a private message, not on a public forum for everyone to read. We will not tolerate critical unsupported posts negative to Chevrolet or General Motors. Check your facts before you post ! In short we desire to build our relationship with Chevrolet, General Motors and Dealerships. If you do have a problem with your car , We want to hear about it !Just do it in a constructive tone ! If you don't know if what you are going to post is allowed or not, feel free to send a private message to the President and/or a moderator (Volunteer assistant) for confirmation before posting.
4. No personal attacks, directed at specific individuals or groups thereof will be allowed, whether on the club forum, or in person. Any and all personal issues with any individual or group should be handled privately.
5. C5G/CNG RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CENSURE ANY AND ALL POSTS.
C5G/CNG President and Volunteer assistants have the immediate right to censure, edit, remove or delete any posts on the Website or its Facebook Account which are deemed in that assistant or President's judgment to be, sexually explicit, discriminatory on race, gender or religious beliefs, encourage violations of any State or Federal Laws, Argumentative, Disruptive to the Club, derogatory to the Club or any Member of the Club, disparages the reputation of the club, exposes the club to legal or financial risk, in violation of club rules, or Sponsorship protocol as set from time to time by the President. Participants on the website understand and acknowledge that any constitutional or state freedom of expression, freedom of speech rights are limited as herein-above mentioned.
6. The posting of private e-mails or quotes from private e-mails on the Club bulletin board is not allowed. Members and guests on the Club bulletin board have a reasonable expectation that their e-mails are private and should be kept so. Private Messages are just that, "PRIVATE", however, Private Messages may be purged if either you have accumulated too many in your In or Out Box or you are utilizing the website to sell merchandise or conduct business without paying for membership and/or sponsorship. So please clear your private messages out monthly or they may be cleared out for you.
7. If you are a Dues paying member and have something to sell, that's great ! We support that. If we determine that you are resembling a business, we will ask you to pay for sponsorship to post anything further to sell and in fact may delete your posts without warning.
8. If you post something and it has a LINK to another website , company or advertisement, IT WILL BE DELETED. We are not here to support those that do not support us. It does not make a difference if it is charitable organization or not. If you have a charitable organization that deserves our attention with a link, kindly send a P.M. to the Corporation or one of the Volunteer assistants and we will give it our serious consideration for posting. Often it very well may be allowed.
9. Clickable links to non-sponsoring commercial enterprises on line are not permitted. Members understand and acknowledge that C5G/CNG allows certain vendors to advertise on the club website and host or sponsor events which may earn revenue for C5G/CNG or support member functions. The President and volunteer assistants reserve the right to delete or remove any post which conflicts with a contributing C5G/CNG sponsor or Event.
10. Official C5G/CNG Event Designation will be the exclusive right of the President or his delegated volunteer assistant.
11. Official Club Information.
Only C5G President and appointed position volunteers and their assistants can post official club information on-line.
12. We will and intend to continue to invite all individuals to assist with input as to interesting discussions on line and events of interest as well as help out at all events.
Article III
Membership and Sponsorship Costs
1. Dues will be $30.00 for Full members and your spouse or significant other. Dues will be linked to privileges on the website, certain areas of the website and the ability to post items for sale are only accessible to Dues paying members as well as window decals, Club BBQ, subsidies at functions and door prizes, if applicable, at any function, etc. Website privileges for non dues paying members are subject to change at any time. Dues may also be linked to Certain events being classified as Dues Paying Members Event only. A surcharge may be required at a club event like Xmas Party, BBQ, for any excessive dependants. We are not providing T Shirts any longer as part of membership. We will provide a T-shirt as supplies last from those available in the current inventory stock. We may design a better quality shirt for purchase at a nominal cost in the near future on the website.
Dues are NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason.
2. All Advertisers will pay a fee or provide a service or product to the club for the privilege of advertisement on the website. Advertising costs may be re-evaluated for exclusive and non-exclusive advertisement prices at any time. Advertisement costs are subject to change at normal term dates . The Corporation will contact all current sponsors and discuss future business as such and determine a new fee structure. Fee Structures may change annually.
Article IV
Participation
1. Monthly meetings will be conducted as often as possible and all volunteers are expected to participate in as many meetings as possible and members are invited to participate. Every attempt will be made for the date and location of the monthly meeting to be posted three weeks in advance.. From time to time, monthly meetings will or can be held via conference call rather then in person, ie., in-climate weather, etc.
2. Volunteers to assist the President will be and are welcome and NEEDED !!. We need all the help and suggestions we can get on planning fun well attended events that will make this a fun place to hang around. We want volunteers who are willing to plan and run events and assist in monitoring and updating website info as well as assist in the other functions of the club. We are going to be open and invite people with different ideas as well as people that have different skill sets and passions, such as: race, cruise, show and social. The people you meet here in this club as a result of the enthusiasm for the Camaro can end up enriching your lives in other ways. The more you become involved and participate in club functions the bigger network of friends and business associates you will make for yourself. We intend to make this club a tool to help enrich your lives and businesses with some well needed fun, friendships, contacts and customers.
3. Individuals will be appointed to volunteer their time in the following roles for the car club. These individuals will NOT be officers Nor Directors of the Corporation. They will not possess any ownership rights in stock in the Corporation nor have any legal nor equitable interest in the Corporation. They will not be employees nor independent contractors of the Corporation. They will be Member volunteers without pay. In short they will be the heart and sole of making your enjoyment here in this car club. The better you respect their efforts, the more enjoyment you will experience in this club.
4. Each volunteer is expected to volunteer his/her services in proportion to all members of the club. Each year on the first day of December, the Corporation President will consider any applicants whom desire to substitute in and volunteer their services to assist the club in any of the following titles as well as other titles and job functions that may be created from time to time. If a volunteer position vacancy arises at any midterm, it will be posted on the site for any potential candidates to notify the President for consideration. Members should appreciate and understand that they are Volunteers and utilizing their time to make your stay here enjoyable. Please be patient with them. ARTICLE V
Membership Conduct
1. Chicago5thGen Camaro Club Inc./CNG does not discriminate against applicants for use of the site on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or national origin and neither condones nor allows any actions of its members and participants based on these factors.
2. Beyond compliance with strictly legal aspects involved, any individual appointed, volunteer, assistant, members and their guests are expected to conduct themselves with honesty, integrity and respect while in attendance at Club events, and other regional and major events, and in the posting of messages on the Club message forum.
3. Club members are permitted to have guests at events and at the meetings subject to any possible costs or charges, if applicable at said event or meeting. Regular members will be held responsible for the actions and conduct of guests that they bring to Club organized events.
4. Members of Chicago 5th Gen Camaro Club/CNG have the responsibility to maintain the respect and trust of the public at large. Any actions deemed to be detrimental to the Corporation, the Club, its membership, or its affiliates will not be allowed and can be subject to discipline up to and including permanent dismissal from the Club and the inability to post on the Corporation's website.
5. Participating in any illegal activity while attending a Club event or while wearing the Club Emblem on your person or vehicle may result in suspension or expulsion from the club and the inability to post on the Corporation's website.
Article VI
Club Meetings
1. Meetings shall be conducted in an informal business-like manner and should be as informative as possible.
2. Club associated business should prevail at all meetings. Bull Sessions, out of turn, off the
subject, etc., should follow the meeting and not be part of it. This will insure that the meetings are short and to the point.
3. The members recording secretary may keep minutes of every meeting.
4. The following business items shall be executed at each meeting.
a) Reading and discussion of undetermined issues from previous meeting
b) President reports
c) Old business
d) New business
e) Open floor suggestions for the good of the club.
Article VII
Event Rules/Meet Ground Rules
Intent: Keep your reputation and the group in good standing.
1. Please don't enter or leave the meet at higher than parking lot speeds.
2. Absolutely no burnouts.
3. Keep the noise from your car audio system to a minimum.
4. Please do NOT litter, pick up after yourself and keep our meet spots clean.
5. If you bring a guest, please help us keep them mindful that we're all guests of the business/place hosting our meet/cruise.
6. Everyone please do approach guests/strangers and introduce yourself. Aside from being polite and useful ( hey you get to meet new people), it helps discourage any hecklers/troublemakers from slipping under the radar/unnoticed only to cause trouble later.
Article VIII
Indemnity:
Understand, acknowledge and accept that by your willingness to participate in this Corporate website and Car Club organization or any event planned or participated in by this Organization , you hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chicago 5th Gen, Inc.,/CNG, it's President, assistants, volunteers, members, agents and invites and hereby release the same from any and all loss, liability, damage and/or cost you may incur arising out of participating in this website, referrals , patronizing any of its sponsors and/ or attending any event. By participating you hereby assume full responsibility for any risk of bodily injury, death, or property damage or financial loss arising out of, or related to any event, the website, the actions of the President, volunteer assistants, or its agents, whether caused by Tort, negligence, contractual or otherwise. C5G/CNG Inc. does not guarantee, nor promise; Good Weather, Clean Roads, Construction free routes, Varying Speeds while Cruising, the actions or inactions of other drivers and or its members or participants, the mechanical soundness of any members automobile or equipement, the quality or in-adequate preparation of any food items at any Restaurant, stop or location which the Organization may patronize during any event and further will not be liable for any power outages, website crashes, Internet Provider/Host malfeasance or problems, security breaches of information, improper collection, retainment or use of Credit Card Numbers, payment or confidential and or personal information by outside sources due to Internet Security Breaches.

Club Meetings
1. Meetings shall be conducted in an informal business-like manner and should be as informative as possible.
2. Club associated business should prevail at all meetings. Bull Sessions, out of turn, off the
subject, etc., should follow the meeting and not be part of it. This will insure that the meetings are short and to the point.
3. The members recording secretary may keep minutes of every meeting.
4. The following business items shall be executed at each meeting.
a) Reading and discussion of undetermined issues from previous meeting
b) President reports
c) Old business
d) New business
e) Open floor suggestions for the good of the club.
Article VII
Event Rules/Meet Ground Rules
Intent: Keep your reputation and the group in good standing.
1. Please don't enter or leave the meet at higher than parking lot speeds.
2. Absolutely no burnouts.
3. Keep the noise from your car audio system to a minimum.
4. Please do NOT litter, pick up after yourself and keep our meet spots clean.
5. If you bring a guest, please help us keep them mindful that we're all guests of the business/place hosting our meet/cruise.
6. Everyone please do approach guests/strangers and introduce yourself. Aside from being polite and useful ( hey you get to meet new people), it helps discourage any hecklers/troublemakers from slipping under the radar/unnoticed only to cause trouble later.

Indemnity:
Understand, acknowledge and accept that by your willingness to participate in this Corporate website and Car Club organization or any event planned or participated in by this Organization , you hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chicago 5th Gen, Inc.,/CNG, it's President, assistants, volunteers, members, agents and invites and hereby release the same from any and all loss, liability, damage and/or cost you may incur arising out of participating in this website, referrals , patronizing any of its sponsors and/ or attending any event. By participating you hereby assume full responsibility for any risk of bodily injury, death, or property damage or financial loss arising out of, or related to any event, the website, the actions of the President, volunteer assistants, or its agents, whether caused by Tort, negligence, contractual or otherwise. C5G/CNG Inc. does not guarantee, nor promise; Good Weather, Clean Roads, Construction free routes, Varying Speeds while Cruising, the actions or inactions of other drivers and or its members or participants, the mechanical soundness of any members automobile or equipement, the quality or in-adequate preparation of any food items at any Restaurant, stop or location which the Organization may patronize during any event and further will not be liable for any power outages, website crashes, Internet Provider/Host malfeasance or problems, security breaches of information, improper collection, retainment or use of Credit Card Numbers, payment or confidential and or personal information by outside sources due to Internet Security Breaches.

The By-laws & Rules may be Amended at any time by the President of C5G/CNG as necessary.
