  • FOUND - WTB Range AFM disabler

Thank you to Tony/pump905 for his used Range AFM Disable module

Anybody have a Range module that disables the AFM? I'm getting an LS3 exhaust put on without resonators, so I really want to avoid A) the drone when AFM kicks in and B) a tune that'll void my drivetrain warranty (for now). Range has them for almost [edit: $200]...was hoping someone has one left over from before a tune.

Else...I've heard mixed reviews on whether avoiding AFM is possible with tap-shifter usage; I almost exclusively drive in M.

If you shift into M and then make a few gear changes with the paddle shifters, your AFM will will not engage until you take the gear selector out of M.

Thanks! I'll probably try to stick to that for a while to see how it goes. I'll give this post a couple weeks before I buy a Range device from the manufacturer in the event that doesn't work.

You have to down shift once and it won't go into AFM until you back out of manual mode
