you can find a set of tires and wheels pretty much around 1000 to 1200 anymore. Still a few guys think they are worth more but I think the market is starting to saturate. I would attribute that to people having had the car a while and now having the extra cash to buy aftermarket. And then there is those who have the money and swap right away, but now the market that used to fetch 1700 or more is gone.

I personally like the wheels, just not the weight. For this season I'll use all 9s for the track. My fronts can't handle my new suspension. Too narrow for my driving style on tracks like Blackhawk and the Autobahn.

Yeah, there are deals to be had on the 20's for sure, though I am going to be needing a second set of winter tires now, and the winter tires in 20's are a good chunk more than the 18's... though I will most likely be due in the spring for new summer rubber for the 20's I already have, so if the right deal came along, it might work out. we'll have to see how it goes.

Just FYI it's not a good idea to put 20" stock wheels on your LS equipped with 18"... GM released a TSB recently that tells dealers they are not to do so due to speedo issues and other durability issues as well...
Racing is my life, everything else is just minor details.

No different than everyone else who puts after market wheels/tires on. GM won't recalibrate the ecm for the tire size change, therefore dealers shouldn't do it. Issues with Speedo would be the inaccuracy due to a change in the diameter of the wheel. That's a liability. Mine is off by 2.5% because of my tires.
