Nope, more like supercharging my 6 and headers, high flow cats, tune, and drag radials.

That would be cool to see. I saw they're supposed to run that IPF car on the track soon. I am very interested to see what they run. I still don't think its a good value, 5600 for the kit, then you need to install or pay to install and tune. You're looking at at least 7000 when you're done. That's a lot to get into 13s, when a stock SS will do that for most likely less money (you can probably pick up the darkSS for 25k or less, and we all know that car is fast!).

COOL BEANS, thats sounds Great, I like the idea of having a 6 with some spare power when you need it, plus most insurance companys quote automatically higher with an 8 rather then a 6.

The base tune is provided with the IPF supercharger kit, they will only need to make minor modifications to adjust the tune for the car like trifecta does. Also i won't be paying any install fees, seeing as i have an ASE Master Certified mechanic in the household, but for people that don't i see your point. I also wouldn't touch Dan or Mike's car with a 10 foot pole, they are cursed! Out the door for the supercharger and powertrain warranty they offer, i would be right at 6k installed. I think 6k for an extra 150 to 200 rwhp is a totally fair price, but to each his own.

This isn't spare power... i fully expect this supercharger to beat a stock SS on the drag strip Tuesday when IPF races them.

Yes it should, I agree with you, I meant spare as in you dont always need the supercharger until you pull up next to Grandma on Sunday on her way to church in an olds 442 and she gives you the nod, cause she thinks you only got a 6, hehe

Gotcha, the way I drive it won't be spare lol, Kyle can vouch for that, I have a lead foot.

My insurance decreased when I upgraded to the SS, I didn't ask questions at that point. Agree it didn't make sense, but that's what happened.
