  • 6th Gen Warranty and Problems

Check your mail, Recall for some 2016 6th gen V-8 , certain Vins for the Oil Cool pickup line becoming disengaged and starving the engine for oil. If you have an SS, keep an eye on your oil pressure and call your dealer with your Vin to see if its tagged or not. Its a BIG job too, Oil Pan has to come off which means they still designed this new model with an engine that has to be supported to remove the pan, Again. ! A 10 hour dealer Job. To see if your included you could go to my.gm.com/recalls and put in your VIN #

Also , Check your tube from your Radiator Fluid coolant tank to your radiator and make sure your plastic tie is not rubbing a hole in it like this picture that I will attach below. If the Plastic tie is pointed toward the tube it needs to be reversed!

On another Note, The Rear Differential may be making noise like a tire rubbing on a cold right turn. That's cause you need to change the rear differential fluid boys and girls not once but maybe twice according to News out there. Tell your dealer to read Document Number 2866407 to resolve the problem for you.

Not affected by Oil Tube issue -- been following on Cam6 a while now.

I've had mine in for the noise in rear before there was a TSB on it. Was deemed normal at the time and now followed by different fluid fill to stop the noise. Basically changing for fluid spec and LSD additive.

It will also make the noise on left turns as well.

Yeah appears to be a friction issue on the differential fluid.

There's a couple other things as well.. Some MyLink glitches that usually get an update, as well as the Android update for those built before that was OEM code.

There's a trans update (or reflash) for people having some odd shifting behavior on the car.

The only solid issue I'm plagued with is failure to respond to the keyfob. In the parking lot, even in my garage, at my apt complex, there's some sort of RFI going on that prevents my car from responding to the keyfob correctly. Currently, there is not a fix for this issue due to it being a channel/overpowering thing, so I have other workarounds for it.

I expected the fob and the my link problems but the shifting problems I saw should not be there. That kind of stuff is always changing and throwing programmers for a loop
