  • Recall Research on Camaros

Was searching the web for some other issues and ran across these articles which you may or may not be aware of from Consumer Affairs.

Not To Bad considering they put over half million of these mid priced Muscle car Camaros on the road since 2010.

If you purchased your car used ,you may not have been notified of these.

    1) Recall Chevy Camaro vehicles manufactured December 1, 2011-June 11, 2012. The driver side frontal air bag has a shorting bar which may intermittantly contact the air bag terminals. If the bar and terminals are contacting each other at the time of a crash necessitating deployment of the drivers frontal air bag, that air bag WILL NOT DEPLOY, increasing the Drivers risk of injury . GM will replace the steering wheel air bag coil free of charge.

    2) Recall of 106 vehicles model year 2014 Chevrolet Camaro and some other models. Improper torqued fastners may cause a steering intermediate shaft and steering gear and or lower control arm and the lower ball joint to seperate. If any of the components separate, the vehicle may have a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash. Gm began notifying owners in June of 2014.

AND here are some other old news ones that you may or may not be aware of from past years

    3) The seat bolt recall on driver side electric adjustable seat. OLD NEWS

    4) The key recall. REALLY OLD NEWS

    5) The lifter Technical Service Bulletin on 2010 V8 for Oil Bleed down after shut off requiring a new designed lifter to be installed. OLD NEWS

    6) The Oil Cooler oval gasket on the engine block driver side Leak on 2010 SS V-8 engines, Technical Service Bulletin, requiring the replacement of a few dollar gasket to stop the leak. OLD NEWS

    7) Technical Service Bulletin about the interior baffles on the stock V-8 Mufflers , 2010 model possibly loosening up requiring a new muffler. OLD OLD NEWS (If you need a stock muffler, go see Nickey, he has a bunch of them he took off of cars he modified. LOL

    8) Technical Service Bulletin, drivers may suffer from a permanent grin embedded on their face after operating the vehicle for more then 24 hours. Advice to technicians is to instruct owners to go see your plastic surgeon for its removal if desired.
