Connect the red wire to the black wire and you should be okay. Just Kidding ! DON'T

But all seriously, no not really anything special, you may need to reset the windows and radio so don't go slamming the door closed or you could break a window. Roll the windows down a quarter inch or More before you disconnect. I have done two of them myself in a parking lot with a wrench. And don't hurt your Back picking it up out of that trench they call a wheel well in the trunk, it is pretty heavy .

Install a Temp back up 12v DC source prior to disconnecting you battery leads. You can use your Pos. lead Tap under the hood as the connection point and a good ground. This will keep you from having to reset ANYTHING, like window radio ect. .. You will draw an arch when you break the connection. but you will anyway . GOOD LUCK

So how long do these batteries last? I haven't replaced mine yet (haven't even seen it yet ). Got the car in September 2009.

OMG ! You must have one of those new fangled Batteries that NASA designed after Apollo 13. Holy Crap !
            FOUR YEARS !!!!!
You probably should have replaced it after Four years. Your on borrowed time at this point.
And that's really weird cause you live way up there in the abominable cold snowman territory, hehe

Mine is four years old now. I was planning on changing mine when I uncover it in the spring.

Mine was still going when I traded her in (bought in fall of '09).

I guess I'll have it load tested and make sure it charges fully when I get it out in the spring. Apparently been lucky, but don't want to press it too far.

I am also still on the original battery from 09. I most likely will swap it out in the spring.
