  • TSB PI0486C: Intermittent Clutch Pedal Low / Not fully Returning.

Just as the title states, was driving and the clutch pedal felt almost as if it didn't want to come up 100%. Thankfully i was almost home, pulled the car into the garage and seemed to be okay after a few hours of sitting.

Was searching through Camaro5.com and found this TSB. Just in case others have had this issue, i wanted to share. I'll be calling my dealer asap to get this done.

yes and you should buy some performance brake fluid as well Very Important. It will help with the temperatures of the fluid to work better. Talk with Nickey before you do anything.

      Thanks Lawdog.

This is something that has been happening since i've owned the car, but it's been so sporadic i've never been able to really pinpoint a trend.

Also i updated the title to hopefully attract more attention.

Our clutch has been doing this since we have had the car, at 3,000 mikes they replaced the clutch, flywheel, and some other things that I don't remember, when the tech was done, the clutch stayed to the floor still, he talked to the clutch manufacturer and so did we, to this day every once in awhile the clutch stays to the floor.

Did they say it's under warranty? This one supercedes one that Dave saw.

I didn't ask since mine is a 2015 but with a TSB (and given the history you had with warranty work) I don't think this will be an issue. If I were you I'd give the dealer a call that did all that work and see what they can do.

                    Reporting in from post-TSB work:

WOW, the clutch pedal feels AMAZING. All i can say about the new assembly is how much better it is. First, the clutch is very "linear" now, vs almost a "double motion" in my stock SS clutch pedal assembly. Second, the clutch grabs much closer to the floor...where as i felt my SS pedal assembly grabbed almost towards the very top of the pedal motion. Anyone who wants to try my clutch feel free to hop in and cop a feel

My only complaint?.......now my stock SS pedals don't match the ZL1 clutch pedal Time to upgrade to ZL1 gas / brake pedals.
