2.5" vs. 3" exhaust debate

I had always heard being over 600 rwhp, a 3" system was the way to go, so I recently had NicKey change out my exhaust from a 2.5" Borla system to a 3" Magnaflow Competition Series. Granted NicKey slightly tweaked my tune, but I immediately noticed a difference in the "seat of pants". It's like the car woke up compared to before and I thought it was pretty amazing with the 2.5" Borla system.
