  • Cam thoughts?

Got a quote from Speed Inc, and this is what they had recommended. I searched, but it seems like its used for TAs/ 4th gen camaro..etc... nothing really for the LS3

    233/239 .600"/.600" 112 LSA.....

    Thanks

Never heard of them, until I purchased my camaro.... Ive been in contact with multiple shops (straighline/modern muscle/ speed). I did message Nickey for a quote for a header tune, and they wanted 650. Most likely ill be taking my car to Speed. Im a HUGE advocate of customer service, and Speed has been emailing me back quickly.

I do have 3 cams that I am close to choosing, just doing more research. The 1 mentioned above...BTR stage 4..Maybe the polluter cam from tick.

I won't cut down any speed shops that I personally have not used but I sure will promote the shops that I have and by far NicKy is a great choice.
Everybody has horror stories or a friend that know a friend that can do it for cheaper but....
All I know is it's in your best interest to do some research before you have someone tinker with your baby. Just a headers and a tune? You may be fine. A cam or head work??
            I'd want the best.

Ill reach out to them to see what the quote will be. Ive dealt with Speed in the past, with no issues. They fixed up my trans on the C6Z, and they were a pleasure to work with. I wish FastMotorsports is still around, since they built my G8 and my C6Z. As far as the blowing up part, when you get into the part of modding cars, theres always a chance that something catastrophic will happen. Gotta pay to play.
