I've been looking into purchasing a jack soon and want to know if I can get by with the 1.5 ton or will I need at least a 2 ton?

Jack
you will want to get a low profile as Ryan has shown. As for what weight it will hold, you need to ask yourself what else you will use it for. If you also own a pick up truck you may want the 2 ton. If you don't ever plan on lifting more than the 1.5 ton you can get away with that. Remember you are never lifting the whole car with it. Also, think about the future as floor jacks can last a long time. I have an old Craftsman that is 30 years old.45th convertible ss, roto fab cold air, SW chambered cat back

Appreciate the help. I already have a 3 ton jack I just needed a low profile one. I ended up buying a 1.5 ton aluminum jack from harbor freight for 69.99.
