        Time for some purple shag!

Seriously, I'm curious if you both use any product on your dash and what it is if you do. Also, is your car exposed to the sun and heat in the summer months?

No product at all, and, in the sun every day.

Looks like a daily driver issue so far, extreme heat and extreme cold . But I sure will check mine cause I still have an extended warranty. !

You two should drive into the same dealer at he same time and tell them to get the regional in !

I'm certainly no expert at car care. But I have to wonder if it dried out from being exposed to the sun? Still, it shouldn't happen especially when the car is only 4 years old. Are you hearing that this is a common problem on 2010's? I wonder if there are 10' models in Florida having this problem?

There are eleven pages to a camaro5 thread on this...

The materials should not be cracking in this day and age. Plenty of UV stabilizers available.

A lot of the problem looks to be around the thin area where the air bag pops out that section.

Holy smoke Tony, I wasn't aware of this! That's not good, for sure. Just skimmed through the post. Not sure what the real cause would be but sounds like if you don't have warranty left which of us 2010 owners don't, we're out of luck.

Ugh....I didn't need to hear that. What year Silverado's? Hopefully not the new design (14's).

Yup, confirmed on mine (sorry for having to point this out, Tony) - I do, wonder, since the crack seems to be for the airbag door, if the force at which the airbag deploys might be affected by less resistance due to the crack in the dash top.....

Though I don't think I saw any 2012's with the issue, the 10's and 11's don't seem to care if it is a DD or garage queen.

Did you notice if Chevy Customer Service chimed in on that thread?
