So, it looks like modifying my car was the wrong thing to do. If I could go back in a time machine, I would leave it the way it was a year ago. I paid more in mods for this car than what I paid for the car brand new. Before the mods, everything worked great. Since then, I have had nothing but issues.
Before I can get to the bottom of the issues, I become the target of insurance fraud. Ok, so that's a thousand dollar deductible plus doubling of my rates. Fine. I order a new Fender from Gary's Customs, and this is how it arrives.
That's 3-4 hours of labor that I will most likely have to eat because the body shop is on a timeline with the insurance company and I can't wait for Gary to make another one.
I order a replacement sidemarker from AAC and that arrives with a 2" razor scratch right down the center.
Even after I get all this sorted out and paid for, I STILL have to take the car someplace to clear the error codes that existed before the accident. That will likely cost me thousands more.
I think I have aged 10 years in the single year since I decided to modify this car. Was it worth it? Absolutely not. I am out thousands of dollars and I don't even have a car that can be driven. Unbelievable.
I am not going to get into the blame game here. I am going to leave the statements alone, but I have the documentation and the pictures to back up everything. Bad workmanship is inexcusable, and I am tired of the excuses.
