  • Range AFM disabler, your thoughts

Anyone buy one of these new Range Automatic Fuel Management disabler. I hear the new model according to their ads is suppose to work with no check engine lights. Is it truely bug free and capable of fooling the BCM.

I had one for a short time it worked and done what said got rid of the AFM. It dove me nut when i got my GM performance cat back. I had a early version that would drain the battery if you just never removed it. I only found this out at the end driving season when the car sat for a few weeks. That was the only problem I had got rid of it when the warranty was up and did the headers and Nickey tune.

My experience is that anything plugged into the IBD will drain the battery as it runs all the time even when the car is parked and not running. Happened to me with my logger interface. If you drive it regularly no problem. If you let it sit for a couple of weeks them dead battery.

I will have my Range Device for sale soon as my Nickey tune is coming at the end of next week. From my 2014. I never had a battery issue although it's a DD.
