RX catch can

Seems like I have not caught any oil and want to make sure I have it connected correctly. Can anyone chime in please? L99 btw

I too have an RX catch can. You have it connected correctly. There is a test you can to. Open the drain valve on the bottom of the can. Start the engine and put your finger against the end of the drain hose. You should feel a small vaccum. Shut down the engine and close the drain valve.

everything seems fine, I tightened it some more so hopefully thats what it is

Just to inform, it's a good thing if you aren't catching oil. That means you don't have excessive blow by or crank case pressure.

I think the engine produces the most blow-by under hard deacceleration. Like WOT to 5-6k then throttle off. On a L99 that would require tap shifting to hold the gear. I do that quite often, playing the hooligan, and I do catch oil in my can.

Blow by would occur more during hard acceleration. Not on deceleration. It when RPM and power is increase. The explosion inside the cylinder squeezes past the rings. There are much more violent explosion under hard acceleration

I get about 3/4 of a shot glass every 1,000-1,200 miles.

That means its working the way it is supposed to. If your not getting anything, then its probably not working as every new car we take apart has oil pooled in the intake.
