  • Mod friendly dealers?

Was wondering if there are any mod friendly dealers around?
Looking to install LT headers and tune but just want to see if anyone was mod friendly incase of problems

I don't live in your area so I'm not familiar with ALL of the dealers, but I've heard Libertyville Chevrolet doing mod work on many of the C5G cars. Not sure how they are about the warranty thing, definately a question to ask when getting pricing.

Bubbles also works for a Chevrolet dealer or two, but can't remember which one. Maybe she will chime in or you can send her a PM.

This is a touchy subject because every case is different. I was twin turbo making over 600whp, and I snapped my output shaft on my tranny.

This was a known issue with the early 5th gens, so it was covered under warranty no questions asked. The dealer even complimented me on the setup.

It all depends on what the "problem" is. Technically all dealers need to follow the same procedure when it comes to warranty. So it's a better question to ask IF there are problems bevause every situation is different.

Just be prepared that modding technically can void any warranty, especially when tuning the ECU. So it's a chance some of us take to smile more :-)

sent from my Note 3 using Tapatalk... that eoukd explain any errora

Nope, no longer at any Chevy stores, gave up the extra jobs to concentrate on getting my comp license thru NASA so I can race CMC next year
Racing is my life, everything else is just minor details.

That's really cool, I didn't know that. Hope it all works out for you.

My neighbor bought his car from Chevy dealership in countryside. They installed heads, cam, headers, converter, and tune. It's all warranted through that dealer. His car sounds mean and it runs strong
