Wow. Can't see how that's possible (bumping). Will check it out next time I drive.

I don't see how it could happen either. You'd have to be 6'-5" and have the seat all the way forward. That's not going to be the case. I think GM is just being careful now with the Cobalt mess. Give me a push button start. I don't want a seperate key and fob!

My knee comes nowhere close to bumping my key while it is in the ignition. I do have tiny legs though being 5'7" Obviously GM is washing their hands of any freak occurrence regarding ignition switches on their vehicles. Don't think I'll be making the switch to the different style key. Seems unnecessary for me.

Maybe it's a combo-hit if you have a ton of keys on a keychain?

Thought the same. It actually happened to my dad once driving his Ram.

I am keeping mine unless they retrofit a push button start. Since it doesn't look like they are considering that, I don't think so.

Ya my legs don't seem that close to the key fob but better to be safe than sorry, wonder what the new fob will look like.

Keeping my switchblade fob. Don't like keys in my pocket to begin with and to have the blade always out just makes it worse.

So do you think if you took your car in for the recall that they would take away the switchblade fob before giving you a normal key and fob as replacement? If they give me the new without taking my switchblade away, I could always use an extra fob. Otherwise I'm sticking to the old.

When I first got ours this happen at night and it was the first time I used the remote start. I never really knew why it stalled going about 30 mph at night. I took it to the dealer thinking it was the remote start maybe. I never did it again.

How did you hit the key? It doesn't seem possible...
