  • Squeaky brakes

I have 2011 2ss/rs camaro anyone have issues with the brakes squeaking? I brought my car in Saturday to sunrise chevy for an oil change and a couple other things fixed and the guy pretty much told me deal with and that a lot of them do it and there's no fix. Well I test drove at 5 ss camaro prior to buying this one and never heard a squeak come from any of them. So do I deal with the squeaks or do I keep pressing them on this.

Do the Brembos have the weights (roller skates) on them?

      The LS has different brakes.

Are the skates put on both front and back?

As far as I know, yes. Part of pad, IIRC.

My SS only had the roller skates on the front. Think that's the case with all. I would pull the pads out and grease them up real good with the right grease. That usually takes care of the squeaking. No guarentee it won't come back though. Knock on wood, I've not had this problem and would not put up with it. I cannot deal with squeaking brakes.

Performance brakes squeak. I agree with what freddie said by trying some grease on the pads. But it's one of those things that are hit or miss. Some do it and some dont.

Could always just hit the brake pedal harder ;-)

Got the car back told me everything is normal which I expected. Oh well I've got long tube headers going on the car next week so hopefully that will help to hide the noise lol

I had my mechanic cut the roller blades off when he installed the pads. Try keeping the calipers cleaner, I usually don't have a problem. Ounce they are broken in you will notice it much less often or rarely.
