  • Removing Turbo Kit

Can anyone recommend a shop in the area that can remove a turbo kit and return my car to stock? I'm thinking about going to FLP but not sure if that's the kind of work they do.

      Hey Butters,

We'd be happy to help with your project and it certainly falls within our expertise here at Blackdog! Of course we'd like to see the car ahead of time to make sure we have all of the parts etc in stock to avoid any down-time.

Please give us a call at (847) 634-7534 to discuss and set up a time!

No serious problems. The turbo is too small for the car. I'll be doing 30mph and already making 3lbs / boost. After 5000 rpm the turbo chokes. It's fun to drive on a Sunday morning but not to work everyday. I'm getting 9mpg.

Now that I'm married with a mortgage I just need something more practical to drive.

Majority of that can be contributed to the tune. Tuning WOT is fairly easy. Drivability takes the tim and skill.

Sorry to see another boosted member fall. I know the boost journey is rough at times for sure.

Have you talked to Matt about the tune? I believe HP Tuners came out with the V-6 option now. Might be worth a try before pulling it off.

I'd be willing to help with this too. We could take a look at it and see what a going on. Just pay for the credits and we can give her a go.
