Halo Lights question

So i installed my heritage grill and after installing the grill i double checked to see that all my lights were working, and they were. My problem is that I believe I changed something with my lights because only sometimes do I see only my halo ring on or the fogs. Can someone verify for me that only the ring will turn on if you are under say maybe a dark bridge or something for a short time? thanks in advance

If the car is an RS with no modifications, you should have DRLs during the day and halos with headlights at night.

I also spliced my DRLs to work with my halo's so that they're both on at the same time
