Amsoil vs Mobil 1

I have heard from a friend of mine that if you are running a aggressive cam that you should add a zinc additive to the oil you Are using..... Never heard of it in modern engines with newer lifters ... Just older engines... Is this true????

Yah, for roller rockers, it's not needed. "zinc" or ZDDP would be beneficial in flat tappet cam motors.

amsoil is what I use and don't forget to use a wix filter it the best in all my 7 vehicles

dextos is a sure to break down in the new LFX v6 motors if any one have this motor and drive hard like me loose it after 2500 miles and switch to full syn oil with wix filter then get nuts!!

...dexos is an oil specification. Synthetic blends up through full synthetics can be dexos certified, so dexos certification in and of itself is not an indicator of bad oil.

Ive only put Amsoil in all my performance applications.

All cars have used Amsoil since purchase date:
