I read some breaking news that GM is investing $900 million in new V8 technology at their engine plants. I read it over on GM insider news. DI and twin cam seem to be the future of V8's in their quest to break into the over 30 mpg rankings. I'm sure these will be very potent engines as GM will need the technology for all of their truck applications that require a lot of torque. I'm sure the Corvette and Camaro will benefit as well. By that time I'm sure gas will be over $5/gallon through market demand or taxation.
