  • Exhaust

    Hello,
I'm ordering a 2014 SS convertible with a V8 Auto Trans.I can't order factory special exhaust. I want to get more HP and make more noise.
The Magnaflow and Borla type people don't list Conv or AT product in my searches. I would like to go from the converter to the tail pipe tip.
Any experts on product name, cost and installation.

    Thanks,

    John

I suspect that the manufactuerers haven't verified fitment yet, as I don't see part numbers listed for the SS Vert for 2014, AT or otherwise. You might send an email to the companies you are interested in using and checking to see when they will have fitment available.

Unless you do headers and/or cats and/or tune, then you're not going to get a ton of power out of swapping out the exhaust from behind the cats. Being an auto, you'll likely get a little favor over the LS3s due to the added hardware in the pipes to compensate for the AFM mode, but, it's not going to be a ton. It's really going to just change up your exhaust sound. Maybe things have changed up on the refreshed models, but I don't think you're really looking at much power when you take in to account the price of the kit.

+1 on what Wiki said. To add, I would suggest reading the following post on C5. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=330436

I wish this was the route I had taken.

FYI - Phastek has Borla and Magnaflow 2014 exhaust systems on their website now. http://www.phastekperformance.com/20...tems-s/959.htm

I highly recommend Borla's ATAK system.

The above is a very valid post.

If you just want the exhaust, this is what we install on our basic Supercharger Dealer Cars.

Cat Back 3" Chambered exhaust will give you more sound and a deeper tone.

Yes we have installed them on 2014s

The Magnaflow 3" sounds really good!

Magna Flows sound great, but on an otherwise stock SS you would not even know they were there. Now, on a Stage II S NicKey specs engine........forgetaboutit....!
