Has anyone changed the belts on their Ss?

Mine are squeaking and I want to replace them.

What have you guys bought and where from?

Don't remember the brand for the main belt. SI swapped it when they installed my blower, then Libertyville Chevy swapped it again when I had crank pulley issues with my AC belt.

Your AC belt is stretch to fit, has to be walked on and is much easier if you have the install tool for it.

Yea I already have a install tool... I got it for a friends car a while back just curious what other people have used.

I like gatorback belts but I'm willing to try others

The belts are not hard to replace. My advice is to make a diagram for how the main belt runs from pulley to pulley. Once the main belt is off, remembering exactly how and where it runs over and under pulleys can be difficult. I just did this when I replaced the underdrive pulley and all went well. I presume you know about the tensioner and pushing it to the drivers side to release the tension. Then slide the belt off the water pump.

Lol I'm a diesel mechanic lol I know how to change the belt

I'm just curious what brand belts others have used because I have never bought and probably never will buy parts from the dealer... unless for sure I can't get it somewhere else.

Hell I don't even go to auto parts stores really anymore.

I pretty much order everything through amazon

I believe mine were Gatorback, but, I can't say 100% for sure -- though, that sounds familiar.

The A/C belt was dealer order the time I replaced it myself due to me wanting the right tool, for the right job. I have since thrown that little thing in the garbage, so I don't have it anymore.

Even with it the AC belt was a PITA.
