The insulation on the door Jam is held on in the center by one pin and retainer which means it has a tendency to fold in half at that point and fall in and over within the front fender. if you are experiencing wind noise in your window/door area, this has been attributed to one possible cause.
The piece is being remade with a grey foam material now instead of the old fashioned felt insulation. they are about 9 dollars each and can be put in yourself by unclipping the wheel liner which is a 20 minute job and reaching in there to take the old one out and put the new one in.
You may want to double it up to get it more stiff to stay in the opening. I used some grey foam that they sell at home depot to stand on, about 1/2 inch thick and made a template with the new piece, glued them together, cut a hole in the back piece where the retainer clip goes.
Just thought some of you may want to know. There's only about a foot of distance between that wheel liner and the door jam seem, so it may also help to quiet things down a bit.
