  • Oil Pan Gasket, Ouch !

Another reason to save those warranties folks, went in for an oil change and another small item today and detected that we needed to replace the oil pan gasket, which is a fairly large job on the SS. the subframe comes off the car while they support the engine without the motor mounts.

I got a great dealership at Biggers Chevy and a great mechanic there though, My instructions are always the same, "I don't even want to detect that you opened the hood, are we clear" LOL He had it back together in the same day, just stopped by to check up on her, and Should be able to pick her up tomorrow after the gasket gets extra time to cure.

Stock cars are no fun. What's the cost for that job out of warranty?

Pretty sure Warranty labor says 8 hours. Non-warranty is over 10. I think by now we know that each dealer handles warranty work on modified cars differently, and everybody has to take those things into account when doing those modifications.
