  • lets talk gauges and pods

So with my future mod plans (nothing crazy, stall, headers and tune) I want to monitor a few things just for ease of mind.

I am thinking about getting an aeroforce interceptor gauge. Since it can monitor a bunch of things.

what gauges are you using and what pod are you using? Do you think with those mods it is even worth it?

I have a AEM failsife wideband 02 gauge that monitors AFR and boost. And went with the auto meter pillar gauge. Still deciding what to get for my second gauge though.

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

two of my issues with the pillar pod are
      1. Haven't seen one that matches the interior that well at all
      2. I haven't found a single gauge pod.. If I went with the aeroforce I would technically only need one.

Being that I am not and won't be going FI anytime soon and with my future mods the only two things I am really concerned about are trans temp and A/F.

Yes I know we have the trans temp in the 4pod cluster but I was looking for a digital easy to read. I don't think the one in the cluster would be easy to tell 5-10 degree's difference.

Yeah the color is off a little bit but not the worst i have seen. but yeah I wasn't able to find a gauge pod for one that had good reviews.

Is the gauge your getting a wideband 02 setup?

Im looking at the aeroforce interceptor which is a gauge that hooks up to the OBDII port but there is a kit that can get it connected to a wideband as well from what I have read.

I finally found the gauges I saw a while ago that I thought looked OEMish.

They are custom AEM gauges at JDP Motorsports.

We're offically releasing our Custom AEM Performance Electronics digital boost and AFR gauges for the 2010-2011 Camaro! What does everyone think? They'll be on the website shortly and we'll get a thread going on CAMARO5 shortly!

              T.
The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

I love these gauges, do you know if they can make them with an RS instead of SS, or perhaps just nothing at all.

I wouldn't want to put SS badges on my LLT turbo, but I absolutely love these gauges otherwise.
