If they don't make it a drag race car, then what will be its purpose?
ZL1 is sold as the twisty car (even though its heritage isn't so).
The 1LE is also a twisty car, just w/o the added weight.
Adding a Z/28 would be a little redundant at this point, unless they screw up the name as well and make it a straight line car.
I'm a little confused at their goal with the LS7 in the Camaro, unless it's just to get rid of product or more cash-cow cars w/o a real purpose.
Also, I'm curious to see this car's driveline options. LS7 pretty much means manual trans only, unless they have some new automatic conversion up their sleeve. If they stick with manual only, that's going to eliminate some of the potential buyers.
