  • full or some of the warranty

anyone know if a turbo kit and cam would void the full warranty or just things it effects.

I have a rear main oil seal leak and a radiator leak that i want to try to get fixed under warranty before I pay to have it fixed.

If it doesnt, what dealer is good to take it to also?

    thanks

If you find a dealer to cover that under warranty let us know!!

I was able to have my output shaft replaced under warranty.

Rear main might be tricky though.

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

If you've got a rear main leak, there's slim chance of a dealer covering that under warranty with current engine mods. Early '10's I believe, there were some blocks with higher than normal porosity in the casting that contributed to a rear main leak, but it could also be caused by your mods.

        Good luck!

ok so no leak from the rear main seal, but the oil is coming from one of the turbo lines soooooommmmmeeee where in the system. Radiator has a leak that they cant find but they think the vibration is causing it leak from somewhere in the plastic. So time to upgrade to a heavy duty one. eff its going to be a long winter

Oil leak by the engine is serious, can cause a fire.

If you need a shop recommendation holla I can think of 1-2.

hey bud, sorry for they delay... i had a really LONG weekend moving a ton of stuff out. The shop where i got my work done at was moving to a different location.

But yeah i wouldnt mind helping out. My schedule is a little booked for the next week or so. So i will keep in touch when i'll be able to lend the hand.

as far as the oil leak from an oil line, The best thing to do for that is disconnect all of the lines, put a little teflon tape on the thread, and then reassemble them. That should take care of the leak there.

The best way to find an radiator leak is to pressure test it. You can pick the tool up at any parts store.

thanks.. yah brought it home and put it away. No plans to drive it until its fixes. The dealer put some die in the oil that they said i can use a ultra violet light to see where its leaking. They did the pressure check on the radiator and didnt find any leaks but think its from the piping vibrating on it. I think i am just going to get an upgraded one since they are not that expensive and relatively easy to change out... it seems ;/
cool thanks Syck just let me know

could also be the line to the oil cooler... common issue.

I have a good common sense mechanic by Park Ridge if you need one, he works on new and old cars and doesn't gouge.

The warranty is only voided on the items that are damaged as a result of the modification. Everything else is still valid.
