  • Engine Block Heater

I am wondering if anyone has this installed from the dealer? I notice my new 2013 is having a hard time starting in the cold and it's 40-50 degrees days. So i can just imagine when the winter comes and i go to start the car it's probably not gonna start. Anyone else having issues?

You have another issue... New engines are built to start no matter how cold it is. At least in the midwest. If you think there is a real issue, bring it to the dealer. Oh, and sorry about the accident. That totally sucks!

its offered as an option. individuals like myself that wont drive the car in the winter would be paying extra for something i'd never use. So thats why its not standard.

ok that makes sense we all bought the cars for different reasons. I just hate the hard start when it's cold outside and that is extra wear and tear on the engine.

Engine block heaters are only needed in sub zero weather.

it definitely wont hurt the car at all. one of those type of investments where you really cant go wrong.
