Guess I need to get to the bottom of what happened here, since I got these tires new in April and an alignment done at the same time. Something had to have gone wrong somewhere.

I really wish it was Buenos or that type of driving, but I save that for the strip, with my drag radials.
Not sure if you have someone for an alignment but have have someone that does great work. My brother is a front end, suspension and alignment specialist. He has been doing it for 18 years from everyday street cars to full out race cars. Shoot me a PM if you want info.

Holy cow... is that the front or rear? I'm hoping that's the front, and the rears are not nearly that worn, and the shop is just recommending a full set. If that's the rear, somebody borrowed your car and did some burnouts when you weren't looking!

There's a bit of uneven wear there, for sure, but that much of the contact patch being worn doesn't say mechanical wear to me. If there was a mechanical wear issue, beyond being slightly out of alignment, you'd see a much more severe wear on one side or the other, but rarely if ever over 75% of the contact patch. Though there's a small chance, since they're so far gone.

Toasty, this was one of the rears that has less than 10,000 miles on it. I was completely shocked. I know none else did burn outs as well,I do not let anyone else drive my car. I am getting another alignment done Friday. I will post a shot of the original alignment I got done in April and the new one to see if something slipped out of alignment somehow, but that seems pretty far off, and on both sides.

Dude, this is out there, but looking at that tire, and if you REALLY take care of them like you say you do, you shouldn't rule out the possibility that someone swapped wheels and tires on your car when you weren't looking! There is no way, no how that those are 10K worn tires! Not even if you had suspension issues! You got dupped somewhere along the line!

I have heard and seen tires wear this fast due purely to alignment. All it takes is a degree or 2 of the toe and camber being slightly off and you can see a wear pattern just like that. I'm curious to see what your current alignment is at.

Well I found my original alignment sheet. According to the mileage, it had only been about 6000 miles. I am getting another alignment tomorrow,I will post that one as well.

Well here is the new alignment sheet, looks like some how the total rear toe got way out. The shop today said it may have been a lot of pot holes or something not properly tightened on the initial alignment. I avoid pot holes like the plague, so I don't know how to avoid this in the future.

Yeah that would do it.. looks like this shop was much more spot on.

I really think its a one time thing. Although how many times did you go to the track and launch fairly hard???

Mine has been thrown off a little from.repeated trips to the track. So maybe that might have contributed.

Unfortunately, thus year I only got to the track one time, however I did get in around 15 runs. Maybe that had something to do with it. I really hope that this its a one time thing. I can't be buying new rear tires every season.

That's a ton of runs. Launching a car is what puts the most stress on our cars. That's why stuff breaks. I'd put my money on that is what caused it.

Well, rule that out too. I just looked and I got the tires two weeks after the trip to the drag strip. I did turn a nice 12.4 though. That made me smile

Nice! Congrats on the time. I am headed up Sunday if you'd like another shot. But that just makes it more puzzling now.
