  • Feels like the car is all over the road

Does anyone have any ideas? Over the last couple days it seems that the car is all over the road, even though the wheel is not moving. I was originally worried maybe I had a lug nut coming loose. I will be driving straight and then the car will feel like it pulls a few (4 to 6) inches to a side. If anyone has any thoughts I would love to hear them. This is most noticeable around 25 to 45 mph.

    Thanks

The curve of the road has a lot to do with it sometimes? Tire pressure?

It is doing it on roads I drove daily all summer, so I don't think that is it. The Tire Pressure is consistent too, I have the nitrogen from G-Mans shop, and it hasn't changed as far as I can tell. Thanks though!

Generally cars tend to pull when there is a problem with ball joints and or control arms, when tie rods are bad cars "wonder" when tires are bad you usually get a wobble or tire pull (meaning belt shifted) but define wonder? This is mostly on rear wheel drive vehicles.

Well, I took it into the shop today, and apparently both the front and rear tires are done. I am not really sure how the rears could possibly be shot already I JUST got the put on in April of this year. I don't do burnouts or anything like that either.

Has anyone else seen the P Zeros go that quickly?

How many miles? They seem to be a 20-30k tire.

If you got them in April of this year, don't go aggressive driving, don't race and they were new when you got them -- outside of a ton of miles, very aggressive surfaces, etc, then I'd say you might have some suspension problems.. PZeros should last longer than 6 months unless you're beating the piss out of them or are driving on a cheese-grater.

I got 2 years out of mine (18-19K miles), and 1.5 of that was with 560 tire HP, many 1/4 mile passes, full on ice/snow driving, Road America, and many burnouts...

I got over 25000 on the factory ones. I haven't changed my driving habits out locations. I also got an alignment done from Deerfield tire when they installed them, so I don't think it should be an alignment issue.

Did Deerfield do this recent install to replace the short life ones or did someone else do it? I would think they would be able to look at the wear patterns on the tires and have an idea of how they got that bad... Usually, they all have tell-tale signs of their life.

If they're not the ones that installed then, I'd have your car checked out then.. Something doesn't add up.. PZeros are a relatively short-life tire comparatively speaking, but they're not THAT short.

I am on my 3rd set of stock tires. Only have 22,000 on the car. But I entirely blame my driving habits

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

And so you should blame your driving habits! You probably went through a set at the Rockford speedway alone!

Well the guy at the tire shop I went to said he thinks it is an alignment issue. uploadfromtaptalk1351119641220.jpg
Guess I need to get to the bottom of what happened here, since I got these tires new in April and an alignment done at the same time. Something had to have gone wrong somewhere.

I really wish it was Buenos or that type of driving, but I save that for the strip, with my drag radials.

Well I meant burnouts, not Buenos. Stupid auto correct.

Oh wow, those are bad. Hopefully its just a simple alignment and not a bad part. And yes I have a track setup now as well haha.
