Sick of door dings....

So the passenger side of my car has about 4 dings now going down the contour line of the car. I'm getting fed up with these dings seeing I park so far away from places. I came across these tonight.

Does anyone have any experience with an accessory like this or input on how you think it looks?

Dude, no matter what you do, some Ahole is going to ding the molding too, and that is going to look bad after a while also. Although, probably cheaper to fix than a new door! A couple of my other cars have some type of protective molding on them, and they both have big chips taken out of the plastic.

I don't think the molding looks bad, certainly better than door dings. I remember my late 70's Z28 and Firebird had side molding. So in that light, you're going retro! I'd say it's worth a try and if you don't like, you can easily remove them.

I'm not a big fan of door molding but I looked at the pics & it's not bad. Im w/Fred try it & if it doesn't workout you can remove it. Good luck
Btw, I hate door dings!!!!!!!!!! I park at the other end of the parking lot & sure as the sun rises when I return there are 2-3 other cars parked all around me

I too park away from anyone and everyone. Wife always scolds me by saying "you know it doesn't matter where you park, someone will park next to you!"

And she hasn't been wrong yet. :-/ my buddies Subaru came with side molding but he still has 2 door dings on it. So I don't know how well they will work.

Funny i see this post hehe. Here is my story so i always park in front of my office window so that i can watch out for my car and yesterday this lady parks at a 45 degree angle gets out of the car and slams her passenger door into my baby. Of course like most of us would after seeing this event occour i came out of the office and yelled " i cant belive you just fu...ng hit my car" she hit it so hard that not only i have about 3mm paintless spot on my fender but its also indented she aplogized and i told her to give me 120$ and she refused. I told her to give me her insurence and yet again she refuses so i call the police. The authorities arive police raport is made and she decides to give me her insurence then she goes home and now im going this friday for an estimate. It wasnt the fact that she hit my car but im tired of ignorant people especily whe she was trying to explain to me how minor the ding is lol so ignorant... Ill post pictures soon

I've gotten 4 on my passenger side, two of them from the same guy I chewed him out.

I use a guy on the North side who has a C6 and races if anyone is in need PM me.

I would rather have the molding dinged than my door. But I'm also thinking it will cover up the 4 dings I already have. I'm thinking just to order them, before I actually use the 3m place them on the car and see how they look in person just incase I want to return them. I agree on the retro look lol I'm eventually going to get the gill molding so maybe it won't be that bad.

That is crazy, I woulda went nuts on her. I would have seen red if she was like "it's no big deal" or "your overreacting"
