  • Where to get a atune? and cost?

So I got CAI's intake, Kooks LT headers, and Borlas type S catback exhaust. I want a full tune and wanted to see where you guys whove had this done went, how much it was, how good of a job they did and anything else i should know.

speed inc has done all 3 tunes on my car and they are a sponsor on here. If you call em up and mention the website they will definitely take care of you. Jim is amazing when it comes to tuning our cars. I will let them disclose the price.

Jim from Speed Inc. Hands down the best. He actually knows what he is doing. Many tuners just wing it.

"Technically" yes, any type of tune will void warranty

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

Any real mods to gain power will require a tune at some point. Even with a simple intake and full exhaust would require a tune. I will let you know that I have had warranty work done even being turbod. So it just depends on what you are looking for.

What type of power are you looking for?

I am looking to gain speed in my 2LS. From everyone i been talking to at the dealers keep telling me if you tune your car you void the warranty. So i was like i am just gonna get SS exhaust and CAI intake and that's it. Lets just say i wanna blow passed any non camaro!!

The intake will still require a tune for the car to run right. They say that you can run without one but it throws things off so much you actually might lose some performance in the long run.

The biggest thing about warranty is that they have to prove what you did to your car was the cause of the malfunction.

Unless you plan on red lining your car all over the place, which is what i do daily haha... An intake, exhaust, and tune wont hurt anything. Yes there is always a chance but thats why they say "you have to pay to play".

A tune voids your powertrain warranty. It states it in the owners manual, the GM P&P manual and a picture of the ECM calibrations are required for engine, transmission, differential, transfer case, and cat con replacements. They must be emailed to GM TAC for verification prior to work being performed.

So as long as i send them pics before of everything then they are cool with the tune?

I'd guess that they would be checking to make sure that it's stock.

No pics must be taken of Cali at time of repair.

I have had to email quite a few Cali into TAC already on customer cars... They don't mess around any more.
