Sometimes I forget. I'll be sitting at an intersection and notice people staring or pointing and I'm thinking 'WTF are you looking at?'. And then I remember... Oh yeah... It's the car! LOL

I know I'm bringing this thread back from the dead, but I've had mine for a week now, and I thought I'd share a thing or two- just about EVERYBODY that I show it to is in love with the car. (of course!) The first night I had her (yep, it's a 'her' -EVE) I stopped off at a friend/coworker's house to show off (he's a 4th gen owner) he was just about as giddy as I was! we drove around a bit and showed it off to a few of his friends, neither of which I knew. That was kinda fun. Got a few compliments at work on Monday, but I don't think alot of the office cares. Thursday night, I went back over to my friends/coworker's place to work on his 4th gen. -This is the best part of the story-- After I got there, we went into the house, and were talking about his car, etc. when somebody knocked on the door. Guy at the door asked if the new Camaro was his (friend) he said nope, that's his (me) ... it was a neighbor from around the corner. He asked to see it, so I gladly obliged... the guy was almost speechless, he was so in love with the car. It was awesome! Literally for like 5 minutes all he could say was this is awesome!

and Odd fact of the week? I saw ONE SG camaro on the opposite side of the expressway one day. the only other time I saw any Camaros were on Friday and Sunday when I was NOT in mine. So not fair!

Another awesome thing, other 5thgen owners either wave to each other or honk just to acknowledge each other. I feel like we are members of an awesome club, just like the bike riders wave to each other. The compliments never end and the people wanting to take a picture of your car. Its gotten to be that when we are at a car show or cruise night, Dave will tell them jokingly $5 for that picture. One guy said that to someone and the guy started laughing and the guy that was going to charge the $5 said you know what the really funny thing is? This isn't even my car I'm charging you the picture for!

When my grandfather passed away earlier this year, I had some guy honking at me in the funeral procession. I had my 4ways on, funeral sticker and he still honked.

I think its funny every time I try to acknowledge a 5th gen owner, the person doesnt do anything back, but when I decide to do nothing, they start waving and honking lol!

Agreed. When I drive my car past other 5th gens, they don't even look at me. How did the Corvette guys ever get started??

Maybe you guys just have bad luck. I have seen three 5th gens this week while driving and they all wave back. Its usually the corvette drivers that ignore me. Although there has been two or three corvette drivers that I have talked too that really like the 5th gen.

I've talked too a few 5th gen guys but like Tony said most don't.

Unfortunately I don't get too many people complimenting me on it, but I get the occasional one.
