  • sluggish and hesitates???

Seems only on cold start up and drive. In low gears especially when give gas just doesnt seem to respond right. Sometimes even a jerking feeling. Car is all stock and technician says cant find anything wrong.

2010 ss/rs. other forum says its normal. Im gonna do a fuse pull and be done withit. Tech says nothing is wrong either. Seems to be the norm on cold start up. Ill just give it a bit longer to warm up.

ive noticed the jerky aspect on cold starts with my 2012 L99. But a lot of cars ive driven with Drive by wire are like that on cold starts.

As stated on Camaro5, it's the nature of the beast. Mine became more exaggerated right after I installed a ported throttle body. When I test drove it right after the install I thought it was going to need to re-tune. But within five minutes it cleared right up. It's done the same thing each cold start up. Wiki's description was right on with what everyone else is experiencing.

Mine too but I think that's just the cold start in closed loop. The A/F is probably on the richer side to minimize wear on the engine on cold start.

                  Tony,

Why did you ask that question?

My car ran like doo-doo with mid-grade. Premium eliminated all of the surging. Note that I have a V6, though.

Also, the SS needs premium according to GM.

also of note, if you use lower than premium in the SS, the pcm may get stuck on the lower octane mapping... requiring the 5&20 fuse pull to reset...
