A decent article comparing the ZL1 to the Boss LS.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

I read the MT article, pretty surprised by the review. I figured they would whoop on the camaro related to handling and its weight, surprised on the negative feedback they had on the Boss;however, the real test will be with the new GT500.

It is so cool to see the Camaro getting back into this fight and going full throttle.

                  Good for the Zl1....

Too bad the correct match up is the 650 HP GT500 though.

Even more sad that the correct match up for the BOSS is the Z28...that Chevy wont build.

I disagree. The real test should have been with the 2012 GT500. The 13 GT500 is going to be like the 12 ZL1 is to the boss.

LS -- Lighter, NA, manually adj suspension -- although race inspired, no rear seat, added aero pkg that pretty much makes ground clearance a little above 0, takes some serious driver effort, special tuning key, sound deadening material removed (read, loud inside), rear seat located cross brace. Has smaller dia wheel/tire. Live Axle

ZL1 -- Heavier by 470lbs, FI, computer controlled adaptive suspension, rear seats, less ground clearance reducing areo pkg but still looks low, heavily computer controlled -- driving is a bit easier (from various reports). Internal noise should be much less. Has larger tire contact patch. IRS.

Not even close to being the same car... About the only things they have in common are V8, RWD, American and ICE.

I still like reading about them... But, these two aren't exactly classed directly to each other.
