      Incorrect.
The "GMPP" suspension pieces you are speaking of DO void factory coverage of the changed pieces, even if you change them back to factory, to some extent. Those pieces from Pfadt, Pedders, Ect are warrantied thru the companies making them.

The only performance parts that can be installed and not alter factory coverage are only available thru GM themselves like the new GM Performance Parts CNC Cylinder heads, the LS Hot cam kit, and the LSA fuel pump & supercharger kits or the performance exhaust systems..... But they MUST be installed by a GM Dealer and the ECM updates must come from techline directly.

Even a CAI can alter factory coverage on affected parts of the vehicle.
      Example:
Escalade came in today with a K&N oiled air filter that was over oiled causing a check engine light due to oil on the MAF. The repair of either cleaning the MAF or replacing it is on the customer's dime.

When in doubt consult your dealership's service manager DIRECTLY... NOT the service advisor.... Or ask me, I can assist as well

      • Actually... VOID is a bit too strong of a word. It can result in denial of coverage of any and all effected components by anything changed, modified, or removed from the final finish product delivered as the vehicle by GM, unless modified or altered using GM authorized parts installed by a factory trained GM technician following the procedures outlined by General Motors Corp thru a GM dealership.

That's actually what I meant, but I didn't explain well... installing the GMPP parts should not automatically affect warranty of the OTHER factory warranted parts on the vehicle... the new GMPP certified parts wouldd have their own warranty from the manufacturer.

what did that cost you? Do you have an L99 or a LS3? I'm guessing it would be in the 4k range for a L99.

                        • I will have to take a look into that. I don't know if I want to go too much ZL1. Want to change things up. Going to look at them all before I decide.
