So I thought since I'm hoping to be a new owner on Saturday I would ask these questions.

What were your first mods? why?

What would you recommend for first mods?

I know an intake and exhaust is on the list for me. Don't know if i should do anything before for reliability. I definitely want to do what I can to prevent wheel hop.

Are you getting a new one or used? Congrats.

Yep, cai should be first. I just posted my results from my baseline this morning all from a CAI Inc. I do have a Borla cat-back, but not sure that played much into this. Mike at SLP was surprised how well the car ran. Timing and everything was perfect for a stock tuned car.

Exhaust for the sound was next for me. I just finished putting Pfadt racing sways on and those made a big difference in cornering. This winter I'll work on the rest of the rear suspension. I'm still deciding what to go with for that.

Will this be a DD or a weekend car? This can alter you mod plan greatly.

Combination of the 2? The car will not have limits on when it will be driven. However I do have another car I will use Every day for work (unless reasons don't allow it)

If I come home from work and need to run some errands Ill more then likely grab the Camaro.

If you know you're already going to kill the warranty and you're going to mod-to-race it, I say get the 2010 as long as it's in good condition and there's no suspected abuse. That puts you 8,000.00 ahead on mod money.

My first mod was an SLP Loud Mouth II exhaust for just sound.

My second mod was a series of mods all on at once. They were TVS2300, secondary fuel system, PFADT solid subframe mounts, PFADT trailing arms, Doug Thorley LT headers, HighFlo cats, NGK plugs, MSD wires, Cold Air Inductions CAI, RX Catch Can and Hendrix Engineering 1400HP Axles.

My third series of mods were HO73's hood, front fascia w/ grille, trunk + wing and tail lights. Waiting to be installed are the PFADT sways.

I actually am going to try NOT to kill the warranty too soon. I did that on the G8. Sound is the biggest thing I want.

Intake and exhaust shouldn't kill the warranty. exhaust will be cat-back or axle back

Suspension is kind of worrying me about the warranty. I just know wheel hop is very bad in the zeta platform.

If you just want sound, you don't need a Cat Back --- there are several Axle Back kits that will save you some money and give you plenty of sound... (Assuming manual.. If it's an auto, there's more sound deadening in the middle section and AFM will alter that when it engages) -- I don't remember if you're going stick/auto. Hell, I would suggest you even look in to getting a good used one from someone.. You'll get it for much less than buying it outright. I saved 300+ on my first one and 375ish on the last one. There's no real need to get a brand new one since you're about to mess it up by installing it on the underside of your car.

Some PFADT suspension parts are GM Licensed and I believe Pedders as well.. AS long as you follow the purchase/installation requirements, you should be fine on those for warranty.

Headers are out. So is F/I, N20 and Cam for sure.

Intake is fine -- For N/A, most of the larger companies are fine. CAI, Roto-Fab, etc. Just a looks preference honestly.. But, if you'd like a lot of detail.. look for a thread over on Camaro5 from JRE (Janetty). He did a huge testing/write up about various versions.

Bubbles, would an electronic cut out do anything to the warranty? Does where its placed matter?

Humanwiki, I'm going to look around at exhausts and see what I like. I'd rather go with a full catback since in the future I do plan on further modding.

Intake i'm torn between CAI and ROTOFAB.

I will have to find out the warranty thing with PFADT and Pedders (bubbles?)

I think i just need your number bubbles lol you are always helping me out it seems. Thanks
