  • Brake failure!!!!!!

OK guys and gals man I can tell you I have had a bad couple of days starting last night. Short version of the story is my Front brake almost fell off my car while pulling into the United Center.

Cause was due to a bolt backing out of my Brake per the dealer, now the crappy part.

192.00 for tow from downtown, even though it was under warranty. Don't believe roadside Assistance. They told me over the phone while at the Bulls game that any dealer outside of 20 mile radius I had to pay. I agreed with the understanding I would pay the millage rates after 20 miles. So for a total of 38 miles I was charged 192.00 then a 42.00 cab ride.....WTF

So to the Good news the dealer fixed my car in one day and also ordered a new wheel for me due in next week. All because a bolt backed out even with lock tight on it.

All Please check your bolts there have been a few people on the other forums post similar events or occurrences.

Props to Ron Westfall Chevy service department!!!!:bananen_smilies065:

Wow, at least you weren't physically hurt (just the wallet) and it happened as you pulled into the United Center and not as you were leaving! Sounds like they've got a good service department over there. If this is a bigger issue than just a few cars, I hope it is fixed before long

It was the stock brakes... I bet if I had the Brembo's on it would have been a different story!
