  • TPMS on new wheels needed?

I'm planning to change out the wheels and tires this weekend, can anyone tell me if there's a way to either disable the TPMS or if anything on the dash will go crazy without them?

    Thanks,

I picked up another set on E bay to put on my new wheels and kept the originals with my factory wheels for winter use. You can get them for about $90.

I'd recommend buying a set of these. The model # is different than what comes stock in the car, but they're the same frequency and are compatible. I have these in my summer setup...

and fyi, they're compatible with 2010 and 2011 models, the fitment guide is not up to date.

You MIGHT eventually get a ses light for no tpms. I have seen it happen in a few other GM vehicles, as for disabling the TPMS dealers can't do it do to federal standards.

No problem, wheels put on today (Beautiful) and I see the ses light but no big deal...I'll get the sensors next week.

The tires are General Exclaim UHP 265/30/22 for the front and 285/30/22 for the rear, excuse the garage photos:

Thanks Pete, didn't want to go too overboard and I love the way it turned out.
