    lets not get started on the trash talking again. we are supposed to be a group that gets along. any car breaks, especially when you modify it, it comes hand in hand when you add power.

    i have owned and modified 15 cars and it just happens. and the reason there is a warranty is because nothing is perfect. especially when you are pushing the limits beyond stock. i have had my 2ss since june of 09' and have over 600 hp at the wheels and 16,000 miles with no issues. i know something is going to happen sooner or later it comes with the territory.

    as far as parts failing early, it sucks but it happens. thank god for warranty. good luck with everything i hope you get the car back soon.

    nothing is perfect, please remember that...

        I'm with kyle in this one... You don't hear anything about us V6er's blowing the motor our trans. And trust me, I drive my car just as hard as anyone in this club. Now granted I might not have the horses some of you do, but it still doesn't mean I don't put pedal to metal.

        By the way, I hope everything goes smooth with the repair jcobra and to see you next week at palatine!

          huggerorange does start alot of crap by trashing our camaros and when he does that i take it personally, oh by the way hugger your thread about your carnage on C5 was very good and was very imformative, but not once in that C5 thread did i hear you say anything bad about the camaro so please just stop trying to start shit here go do that on c5 for a change

            look im the first guy to be all into gm. and back them up on the street and track! i have had over 10 gm vehicles in diff ranges and models.. and this has BEEN THE ONLY ONE TO GIVE ME SOOO MUCH TROUBLE. and to top it off, getting the "issues" fixed is even worse with the idiots at 2 diff dealers i have gone to..

            gm is great no doubt.. first months of 5th gen builds... SUCK!!! I HAVE BEEN ON 4 DIFF FOURMS.. AND THE AMOUNT OF "ISSUES" WITH THESE CARS ARE ASTONOSHING!
            ME PERSONALLY... (i will start off bad to worse)

            1) brembo brakes faded with every wash (hard to get gm to trade out)only used water and soap!!
            2) car vibrates @ 55mph or more( only after about 200 miles) turns out wheel was warped
            3)leather seat becames very loose.. dealer installed new and made worse.. had to be done else where weeks later.. (gm had to aprove paying to fix it)
            4) rear bumper shifted by wheel wells on both sides (the coners were pointing out)
            dealer tried saying i was hit. 2nd dealer said its comes with time, it was a matter of time before it happened.. what a joke.. it was finally fixed after i poped opened a can of ' not taking this shit!"
            5) oil cooler leaked.. replaced.. after arguing with service rep that headers caused leak! jajajaja yeah good gm mechanics ! how can headers cause a leak to oil cooler??? it was fixed none the less. after 1 week at dealer and waiting for gm to look at it.
            6) engine mounts came loose, no explanations
            7) front strut mount had to be replaced.. bad mount
            8)electrical prob.. car just died out (started at showstoppers lmao) (he had nothing to do with that.). car would died out out of the blue... i had to accelerate when turn sig was on or it would die out! jajaja but dealer had to replace all the "inards" of elecsytem.. dealer couldt not find source of problem. car was at dealer over a week and got call one day.. it was cheaper to basically replace entire wiring than to keep wasting man power in finding source..

            i love the 5th gen dont get me wrong.. but it does have issues and it cant be ignored! no matter if your car has never had a prob. the facts are there and we cant lie to ourselves..
            and a car is as good as the people who build it to the people who work on it!

            love the car.. not the "issues"

            i guess i have taken it back so much that(prob costly to service dep and gm) now service deps try to avoid fixing car because of "mods" YES YES! i even got an earful over exhaust and CAI!

              You can't be so blind to see that this car has some issues. We're a small group of owners and how many cars have broken?? It happens, you need to accept that and move on. Goes for both sides and everyone knows what side I'm on. If you're coming in the thread for any other reason than to comment on what the OP has posted then save yourself the warning and find another thread please.

                I'm not trashing your Camaro, so relax.

                I have said plenty bad about the engineering of this car on C5, I suggest you dig a little deeper. There wasn't any of that in the engine thread on C5 because there wasn't anyone proclaiming HOW GREAT THIS CAR IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                And you're right, I'm done here...........I'll leave you guys to leg hump how great the car is when LOADS of people are having problems with them. One last thing...before anyone wants to tell how great their car is answer me 2 questions. Have you ever been to a track and have you ever had your car on a dyno. If the answer is no then you shouldn't be able to voice your opinion on any performance issues.

                  Im waiting for them to call me and say it was my fault the tranny broke due to abuse or something ridiculous like that.

                    Sorry to hear about the car man, I really hope it gets squared away for you soon...

                    I haven't had my car tuned or on a dyno or track but I'll certainly say that i think the 5th gen is truly a great vehicle that I haven't had any issues with.

                    I have 2 other vehicles a Mercedes S550 and a Mercedes GL550 and that damn GL gives me more problems than any other car I've owned...no matter the quality of vehicles there are always some issues that pop up no matter what anyone says.

                      love the car, the design etc etc.. but im with huggerorange..
                      looks can only get you so far.. the car has "issues" on alot of cases to alot of owners.. that is a fact.. i can name 8 things at least 4 really serious that my car has been into service to get addressed!
                      and out fo those 8 they tried to pin them on me!!! and my car has less than 10k miles!!

                      yes great car.. but has "issues" wether some like to admit it or not!!

                      and these "issues" are begging to piss me offffff...
                      yes we can move on , and no its not about being blind...but i dont know about anyone else.. my car has been paid off since 3rd month of taking delivery.. and it just erks me that i payed over 35g for a bunch of these "issues"!! i understand there wil be problems and recalls but the severity of the "issues" is my prob.. followed by the lack of GM owning up to it!
                      like a said before its not just the car, its the manufacturer the backs it up also!

                            So far they havent looked at it that I know of, it's sitting in the techs bay until he finishes the car he's working on. I really can't get take it anywhere because it's stuck in neutral....

                              Dealer just called, the 1-2 synchros are shot. They already ordered the parts and expect to have them this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

                                Does anyone know if it's possible to get the GM/hurst short throw and if it's worth it. My service advisor is gonna try and look it up.
