  • Broke my trans coming home from palatine.

    Myself, wife and kids were coming home from palatine friday, I took off from a light, shifted 1-2 and got on it in second, shifted 2-3 and it grinded and wouldn't go into gear. Let it roll in neutral for a few seconds pushed the clutch in and the shifter was stuck in neutral. It would not go into ANY gear. Onstar sent a flat bed and now it's at the dealer. I'm a bit dissapointed that a car with 2099 miles had this happen. My only mods are a roto fab cai and an axle back so I'm hoping this will be taken care of quickly and correctly. This sucks.

            Makes me think I should have kept my Shelby. Had the same tranny though!?!?!

              I don't know if it's the platform or the fact that these cars came out when GM was in bankruptcy but these cars have some issues.

                  Yep, roto fab cai, magnaflow axle-back and pfadt lowering springs. None of which can cause a trans failure.

                      What's your 2010's build number? Is it primarily the earlier builds that are having issues or later ones? Got mine in Sept '09, put on about 15k miles and so far no problems. Keeping fingers crossed,

                        I'm not sure. It doesn't have the chicklets....That was the second time since I bought the car that I missed the 2-3 shift. Otherwise the clutch and tranny always worked perfect.

                          DAMN! That really sucks. Hopefully it will be fixed quick (and not anything out of pocket).

                            Better be no out of pocket, car still has 2 full years of factory warranty.
