    I was just filling up and checked the oil. Nothing! Dealer just ran a consumption test not too long ago, too. At dealer now. =/

      where are you going for your oil consumption test and what are they doing for them???? at cadillac we have been doing them forever due to the oil eating norstars... i fear that some chevy dealers have no clue how to do one...

        AFAIK, the dealer just checks the oil every 1 or 2k.

          by GM standards they are supposed to start with an oil change, mark and measure the oil level, tape off the dipstick tube so it cannot be removed and have you return in 1000 miles or when the oil level light comes (which ever comes first) and rechk....
          also there is a newly revised PI for this issue -
