    Tire prices?
I just out of curiosity ran around town tonight and got tire prices for my ls with 245/55/18 and was astounded by what the dealers told me. I know what these tires cost and what they take to install as I work at a small tire dealer / trailer repair shop and more. I had quotes close to 200 per tire only no install and everyone said special order. Just curious if they are sticking it to everyone thinking they can afford a Camaro they have money to burn. I checked last week and I had imediate availability and could retail the stock BFG T/A around 120 each installed and disposed

I would like to know what size you put on your Camaro and what you paid just the tire, install and disposal. I am not interested in road hazard pricing as we don't offer any.

If I find many over paying I will post something up in a sales forum here to help everyone out if possible in my area.

Please don't take this as a spamer, troller ect. Just Curious

    Thanks in advance,
    Macrackie

I'd expect that dealers will always be higher on tire pricing, as they don't likely do enough volume to do better on pricing. If joe car owner goes to the dealer for tires, it's usually because they find it easier to have the dealer do it. I got decent pricing on my pirelli ice and snows local, but those run more than the BFG stocker's

I took a quick search on tirerack and found an answer for you. There seems to be 2 different BFGoodrich T/A tires that could easily be mistaken. One of them is $82/tire (OEM) the other is $189/tire. Since they are both made by BFGoodrich and run the same sizes they are probably mistaken for OEM tires when in fact the more expensive ones are not OEM tires.

nah, they're just charging too much for the Radial T/A's, as are some other online places, outside of TireRack. It's the thought of P.T. Barnum - There's a sucker born every minute...
